Lesley Pollak
Remedial Massage Therapist
Lesley uses a range of Remedial techniques, including Hot Stone and Myofascial Cupping, each treatment is tailored to your needs. Remedial for sport, dance and injuries. Lymphatic drainage for nervous system and general well being.
Cultural Bodywork (Kahuna Inspired ) is remedial and relaxing. Trigger point therapy - great for chronic tension.
Why have a massage? Massage is not only about relieving pain in muscles and joints.
Experience better health due to increased blood and lymphatic flow as circulation is improved, thus improving skin tone, better cell nutrition and elimination. Lymphatic flow improves the detoxifying function of the lymphatic system. Beneficial for most digestive issues including Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS).
There are a range of joint release stretches and trigger points that give you better mobility through your hips and ease your lower back. Neck hands and feet also benefit.
Then there is an increase of the "feel good hormones". Endorphins and Oxytocin are released when having a massage and we can all use some of these! While at the same time reducing the stress hormone "Cortisol" - helps while stressed, anxious or grieving. Massage can relax and improve the function of the nervous system reducing tension and relieving fatigue.
